Application Scenarios
1.Chemical Reactions
Types of mechanical seals for reactor can be utilized to seal reactors used in chemical process reactors with different seal configurations in order to ensure that reactants stay contained during the course of a chemical process, whether it be a continuous or batch reaction under controlled conditions. A reactor mechanical seal would be applied at the agitator shaft of any reactor designed to facilitate the mixing and heating/cooling of reactants, which would help ensure stable operation of a reactor while it is being used in any chemical production environment.
2.Medical and Fine Chemicals
Types of mechanical seals for reactor can be applied to agitator systems used in medical and fine chemical production, which depend on the sealing system's stability and reliability. Due to the frequency with which medical and fine chemicals are cleaned, the seals used in this type of application must be able to withstand being cleaned multiple times, thus requiring their selection based on what is best for a given process, with respect to the expected life of the seals used, as well as their suitability for repeated use.
3.Glass-Lined Reactors
Types of mechanical seals for reactor are used on agitator shafts of glass-lined reactors. Mechanical seals are the means of creating a seal that can withstand the corrosive nature of glass-lined reactors while at the same time maintaining sealing capabilities. Mechanical seals are the most common means of creating and maintaining seals for processes utilizing corrosive materials due to the fact that the mechanical seal structure must be compatible with glass-lined reactor systems.
4.Polymerization and Material Handling
Mechanical seals are utilized in polymerization and material handling processes when the materials in the process are either viscous, crystallized, or likely to solidify. Mechanical seals provide the means of sealing the agitators used in these systems during the extended mixing times necessary to properly blend the materials, thus ensuring that sealing integrity is maintained under the extreme conditions that are typically present during material processing.
5.Reactor Applications
Types of mechanical seals for reactor are utilized in reactor applications, whether operating under positive pressure or within a near vacuum. Mechanical seals are utilized at the agitator shaft to create a controlled processing environments within the reactor. Mechanical seals may also be utilized in conjunction with other equipment to help maintain stable and predictable operation of a reactor.
